Due to sapphire crystal’s hardness and scratch resistance, it is extremely difficult to manufacture from raw form (shown here), into a perfectly clear lens. Working closely with Stettler Sapphire in Switzerland (one of the world’s leading specialist manufacturers of watch and camera lenses), we were able to construct a lens that uniquely mates to the +YvesBéhar ceramics covers with virtually no visible split line.
